About Us
Historical Highlights
1928 Establishment (Retailer/Wholesaler): CJ Patel & Company Limited was founded, initially operating as a retailer and wholesaler.
1960s: The company expanded its operations to become grocery wholesalers in Suva.
Late 1960s: We proudly attained the privilege of representing Colgate-Palmolive.
1970s: Our growth continued as we expanded into the Western and Northern Divisions of Fiji.
1980s: We embarked on a joint venture with Nestlé in local manufacturing and diversified into pharmaceuticals, hotel, and catering services. Additionally, we united with Kimberly-Clark Corporation.
1998: We formed a joint venture with M&C Saatchi, known as Adworks, and acquired the Fiji Sun, Fiji’s largest daily newspaper.
2008: CJ Patel acquired Viti Foods Limited, a prominent fish cannery.
2009: We further expanded our portfolio by acquiring Nestlé operations in Fiji, including its manufacturing plant in Ba.
2010: We established a joint venture company, Iceman (Fiji) Ltd.
2012: We acquired Fiji Dairy through a joint venture arrangement with Dairy Farmers of Fiji.
